Fruit & Oatmeal Cobbler - simple as that, not too much fat

Since the beginning of our friendship, cobbler (often referred to as "cob") has been a main staple of our diet. We've jazzed up our usual recipe to include caramel, peanuts, and raspberries, oh my!

You will need:
  • 2 bags of fruit (this recipe uses peaches and raspberries - no sugar added). The Magpie prefers FRESH fruit over FROZEN fruit (personally I believe it's her way of cutting the bake time in half).
  • 1 awesome bowl that can go in the oven
  • We decided to spice things up with 2 paydays ... we liked the idea of caramel and nuts. Who wouldn't?! But it's equally good without.
Recipe:
  • 1 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Skim milk until just moist
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • 1 bag frozen raspberries
  • 1 bag frozen peaches
  • 2 Paydays (oooooh...so maybe not entirely low fat)
Directions:
  • Place fruit in bottom of awesome bowl (as mentioned above)
  • Mix all other ingredients in a separate bowl, except for paydays
  • Place all those other ingredients ontop of fuit, in awesome bowl
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes
  • Last five minutes place chopped payday bars on top to melt
